Rogue Cabin

Build it.
Own it.

Build it. Own it. Nothing wasted.

A modular off-grid living system. Four components. Infinite configurations.

The System

Four components.
One complete shelter.

Every Rogue Cabin is built from the same four layers. Each component is independently replaceable, upgradeable, and designed to outlive its first use.

01

Base

The footprint. 8×4 ft. Everything builds from here.

Material options

Bamboo

One of the fastest-growing plants on earth — harvested without replanting, no pesticides, sequesters carbon as it grows. Structurally comparable to hardwood at a fraction of the environmental cost.

End of life

Fully biodegradable. Leave it in the ground and it returns to soil within a few years. Or disassemble and reuse the structural members — bamboo is remarkably durable.

Wood

FSC-certified timber from managed forests. Designed in panels no larger than 2×8 ft — sized so every piece can decompose in your backyard or be reused in its next life without special handling.

End of life

Compost in place, reuse as lumber, or pass individual panels along. The 2×8 ft max size was designed specifically so no piece requires special equipment to handle or dispose of.

Metal

02

Structure

The bones. Struts, connectors, and poles that flare outward to create 9×10 ft of usable space.

Eco-Boards

Compressed agricultural waste — straw, hemp, or recycled paper fibers — formed into rigid panels. No virgin timber, no off-gassing. Fully compostable at end of life.

End of life

Compostable under the right conditions. Can also be shredded and used as mulch or biomass fuel. No toxic binders means no hazardous disposal requirements.

♻ Reclaimed

Sustainable Plastic

Recycled post-consumer plastics reformed into weatherproof panels. Keeps plastic out of landfill and oceans while outperforming virgin plastic on durability.

End of life

Recyclable through standard plastic streams — but not biodegradable. The highest-impact choice in the lineup, included because it dramatically outperforms virgin plastic and extends material life. Best used for the base where ground contact demands durability.

04

Coat

The skin. Breathable membrane that protects everything underneath.

Material options

Canvas

Heavy-duty natural cotton canvas, treated with eco-friendly waterproofing. Breathable, repairable, and biodegradable when its life is done.

End of life

Biodegrades if untreated. Waterproofing treatment extends its life but may slow decomposition — hence the 3 rating. We're actively researching fully biodegradable treatment options.

♻ Reclaimed

Sails

Damaged and decommissioned sailboat canvas diverted from marina waste streams. Each panel has already crossed an ocean — now it keeps the rain off your roof.

End of life

Fold it up and pass it on. Canvas can be repurposed again as ground cover, packaging, or shelter material. If it's truly done, it biodegrades without leaching chemicals.

♻ Reclaimed

Clothing

Post-consumer textile waste repurposed as insulating membrane. Closes the loop on one of the world's most polluting industries.

End of life

Can be shredded and recycled again into new textile products, or composted if untreated. Zero new material extracted from the earth.

Bamboo Fabric

Woven bamboo textile membrane — naturally antimicrobial, breathable, and rapidly renewable. Softer than canvas, just as tough.

End of life

Biodegrades cleanly. If the waterproofing treatment is eco-certified, the whole coat can go straight to compost at end of life.
